Every second Friday of the month at 7.30 pm we, the English speaking clientele of the Otherland Bookshop, meet to discuss a selected science fiction, fantasy or horror book and enjoy snacks and drinks in our favourite bookstore.

In March, we return to a true founding text, a book that is essential not only to fantasy and science fiction, but also to what the Otherland Boókshop means to us (we could have called it the Dying Bookshop, but then again ...): Jack Vance's The Dying Earth. This is actually an omnibus edition of four relatively slim volumes, the first being a collection of short stories  set in Vance' marvellous far-future world that straddles the line between fantasy, science fiction and pure delight.
